1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using PocketLoya (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

PocketLoya is an AI-powered legal information service that provides general legal guidance based on the laws of Cameroon. The App is available in English, French, and Cameroon Pidgin English.

3. Not Legal Advice

PocketLoya does not provide legal advice. The information provided by the AI is for general informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional legal counsel. For critical legal matters, you should consult a licensed lawyer. PocketLoya offers a marketplace to connect you with verified lawyers for this purpose.

4. User Accounts

To use PocketLoya, you must register with a valid phone number. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.

5. Credits and Payments

PocketLoya operates on a credit system. New users receive free credits upon registration. Additional credits can be purchased through the App using supported payment methods (MTN Mobile Money, Orange Money, or card). All purchases are final and non-refundable unless required by applicable law.

6. Referral Program

Users may earn credits by referring others to the App. Both the referrer and the referred user receive bonus credits upon successful registration. PocketLoya reserves the right to modify or terminate the referral program at any time.

7. Lawyer Marketplace

PocketLoya provides a platform for connecting users with independent, verified lawyers. PocketLoya is not responsible for the quality, accuracy, or outcome of any legal services provided by these lawyers. Engagement with a lawyer is a direct relationship between you and the lawyer.

8. AI Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated responses may contain errors. We encourage users to report incorrect citations through the App. Verified corrections are rewarded with points. PocketLoya makes no warranty regarding the completeness or accuracy of AI responses.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or modify the App
• Impersonate another person
• Submit false or misleading information
• Abuse the referral system

10. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and technology in PocketLoya are owned by PocketLoya and its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the App without permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PocketLoya shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including any reliance on AI-generated information.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cameroon.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
